The Return to the Forge
Alright, let’s cut the crap. I got fat. Again. I’ve done this before…. rise up like a warrior, then somehow slowly roll back down the hill like a sack of shit. It happens. But this time, I’m calling it what it is. Complacency. Softness. Modern life sneaking in like a thief and stealing my edge while I wasn’t looking.
Truth is, I’ve always been the kind of man who runs headfirst into the fire. I’ve kayaked rivers that eat people for breakfast. I’ve conquered mountains, storms, and God knows what else. But lately? I’ve been losing a fight with pizza and a comfy sofa.
So here we are.
First Steps Back (A.K.A. The Hurt)
The runs? They suck. I feel like a wounded wildebeest stumbling across the savannah. The weights? Heavy…. as if they got heavier just to spite me. The cold showers? Still cold. Still brutal. Still the best part of the day.
But here’s the deal….. I’m not looking for motivation. I’m not waiting for some inspirational quote to flutter across my Instagram feed. I’m doing the work because it needs to be done. No permission slips. No hand-holding.
And let’s be honest…… I want to be the kind of man who doesn’t just look like he could Fuck his woman’s brains out, but can actually deliver without running out of breath like a de-conditioned choirboy with one bung lung and a missing kidney.
Yes, I Slipped. No, I’m Not Done.
I’m not going to sit here pretending I haven’t let myself go. But the only thing worse than getting soft is staying soft. And let me tell you…. this isn’t just about abs. This is about taking back control. About getting back to the man who could run, lift, fight, and fuck like a primal force of nature.
If you’re reading this, you probably know exactly what I’m talking about.
So here’s where I’m at: No excuses. No soft landings. The RAW Movement is officially back.
The RAW Code
This isn’t a fitness program. It’s a motherfucking rebellion. Against weakness. Against modernity. Against sitting around waiting for life to get better.
It’s about earning it. Through sweat, suffering, and probably a few more enemas than I’d care to admit.
So yeah, I’m back. I’m rebuilding. And if you’ve slipped too…. good news. You’re still breathing, aren’t you?
Then you’ve got no excuse.
Get to work. !
It gets harder to get back the older we get. But with age comes experience and some wisdom to do it right.
Good Luck and kick ass Teasdale!
Running right behind you, far, far behind you. LOL
